Chowder premiered Friday night, Nov. 2, scoring across-the-board double-digit growth among key kids demos as well as the network's top three telecasts of the week among kids 6-11 and kids 2-11, according to preliminary data from Nielsen Media Research. The new original series from C. H. Greenblatt (
SpongeBob SquarePants) attracted 3.9 million viewers ages 2+ across its Friday night premiere, which included two half-hour episodes that debuted 7:30-8:30 p.m. and encored 9:30-10:30 p.m. (ET/PT). Compared to the same time period one week ago,
Chowder at 7:30 p.m. increased kids 6-11 delivery by a significant 43% and boys 6-11 delivery by 52%. Turning up the heat at 8 p.m.,
Chowder expanded kids 6-11 delivery by a powerful 83% and boys 6-11 delivery by 119%. Overall on Friday night,
Chowder helped raise Cartoon Network's
Fried Dynamite prime time franchise performance with kids 6-11 by 29% and with kids 2-11 by 24%.
